Potato Head Suites is a 58-suite hotel in Seminyak’s creative village, Desa Potato Head. It was designed by architect Andra Matin and built in 2016 using materials drawn from the earth. Over 1.8 million terracotta bricks form the building’s walls. The suites within them are bright, spacious and filled with textiles, furnishings and art pieces from around Indonesia. They are made to feel like home.
Wellness is a huge part of the Potato Head Suites experience – medicinal jamu tonics are served in the restaurant, the spa is focused around ancient healing methods and the palm-lined swimming pool is Seminyak’s closest answer to an oasis. Cultural experiences lead guests to some of Bali’s most beautiful temples, beaches and villages. Around Potato Head itself, a library, multiple restaurants, art spaces and two beach-front swimming pools offer creative inspiration and good times all year round.
In its first year, Katamama was recognised by Conde Nast Travellers' 2016 Hot List and Travel + Leisure's 2017 It List as one of the world's best new hotels. Katamama was a member of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts Legend Collection.
